Some Dawn
Art Institute Chicago MLK Day 2021
Alongside the incredibly talented members of Growing Concerns Poetry Collective, I directed and animated a music video for Some Dawn—a track from their album, BIG DARK BRIGHT FUTURES. This video was a contribution to the Art Institute Chicago's annual King Day event held virtually in 2021. It was created in response to the exhibition Bisa Butler: Portraits. 

The main goal was animating a visualization of intersecting themes within the work of Bisa Butler and Growing Concerns Poetry Collective. I focused on building a bright, meditative design that reflected a sense of spirit, pride, and community. In the end, I'm so very proud of this project and so grateful for the opportunity to work with this such a talented group of artists.
